KUALA LUMPUR: Chip makers Globetronics, MPI and burn-in tester KESM were among the top losers in Friday trade on concerns about a weakening market for semiconductors.
At 10.26am, Globetronics was down 17 sen to RM5.47 with 56,800 shares done while MPI lost 15 sen to RM7.65 with 48,700 units traded.
KESM fell 12 sen to RM4.28 with 48,500 shares done.
The FBM KLCI rose 0.89 of a point or 0.05% to 1,644.84. Turnover was 295.83 million shares valued at RM285.10mil. There were 144 gainers, 351 losers and 225 counters unchanged.
