KUALA LUMPUR: The new Marvel’s Avengers STATION (Scientific Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network) exhibition based on the global box office smash, Marvel’s The Avengers, will be launched in Paris in April.

Star Media Group’s Singapore-listed subsidiary Cityneon Holdings Ltd, through unit Victory Hill Exhibitions Pte Ltd, will bring the immersive experience - set in the world of The Avengers - to Esplanade de la Defense from then to September.

Victory Hill Exhibitions holds the rights to operate, market and promote the Marvel exhibits for display in museums and science centres or other similar venues.

Its chief executive officer and president Ron Tan said this would be the first time that Avengers STATION would be exhibiting in Europe – after the successful runs in New York and South Korea.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring the experience to Paris, exhibit in a wonderful location, and work with incredible partners in France,” he said in a statement.

The Walt Disney Company France president Jean-Francois Camilleri noted the good timing of the exhibition’s launch. coinciding with the release on April 27 of the new movie, Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War.

Visitors of all ages will have open access to a vast array of intelligence files, classified studies and experiments that explore the history and scientific origins of Marvel’s The Avengers.

On display is an extensive range of Avengers operational equipment such as Captain America’s uniform and shield, Bruce Banner’s laboratory, Iron Man’s MK 45 suit and Hulkbuster suit, Ant-Man’s helmet, Hawkeye’s and Black Widow’s uniforms and weapons, Vision’s birth cradle, and a preserved Chitauri (alien from the Battle of New York).

They will also get a chance to map out the stars to find Asgard, learn to operate Iron Man’s suit, and witness the neurological effects of Banner’s transformation into the Hulk as part of their training to become an Official Avengers STATION Agent.

Even without their superpowers, Marvel characters such as Tony Stark (Iron Man), Banner, Reed Richards (Mr Fantastic) and Peter Parker (Spider-Man) possess immense knowledge, intelligence and creativity that one can aspire to attain in real life.

Some of the greatest scientific individuals and institutions in America contributed to the science for the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)-based exhibition, including Nasa, The Science & Entertainment Exchange (a programme of the National Academy of Sciences), neurotechnology company Neuroverse and Thwacke all collaborated on this exhibition,

“With this exhibit, we are seamlessly integrating story and science to create a truly immersive edutainment environment, set within Marvel’s Cinematic Universe,” said Victory Hill chief creative officer Nicholas Cooper.
