PETALING JAYA: Will it, won’t it? The question on whether the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will raise interest rates this week has continued to put global markets, especially emerging ones such as Malaysia, on tenterhooks.

As it stands, Fed officials appear to be still divided on whether to start raising interest rates as they head into the crucial Sept 16-17 policy meeting.
