Shamsul Azhar Abbas joins Enra Group


KUALA LUMPUR: Ex-Petronas president Tan Sri Shamsul Azhar Abbas has joined Enra Group, a company formerly known as Perduren Corp Bhd as an independent director, confirming a StarBiz report.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Monday, it said that Shamsul was also appointed a member of the audit committee and, nomination and remuneration committees of the company, effective today.

Shamsul has served in Petronas, Malaysia’s only Fortune 500 company, for 40 years, and was the president and CEO for the last five years.

Enra Group started announcing new appointments and resignations to its board of directors with a new line consisting of directors with a background in the oil and gas industry.
