Bhatia offers to buy Tata's stake in AirAsia India

MUMBAI: AirAsia India investor Arun Bhatia will take up the issue of partner Tata Sons’ decision to float a separate joint venture with Singapore Airlines (SIA) at an upcoming board meeting of the company. It would also offer to take up the latter’s share in the low-cost airline joint venture.

Bhatia had roundly criticised the salt-to-software Tata group for not informing him and AirAsia chief Tan Sri Tony Fernandes about the transaction, a claim rebutted strongly by the Tata group, the Economic Times reported.
