Microsoft Translator already provides translations in numerous languages, including during real-time conversations on Skype.
Now, the service will be integrated into Microsoft's Cortana personal digital assistant app on Windows 10 in its US and Chinese editions.
The service will be able to translate sentences from English or Chinese into nearly 40 languages by voice activation. Latvian, Urdu, Welsh, Maltese, Malay – even Klingon – are just some of the languages available for translation.
Users can activate the service by saying "Hey Cortana," followed by the word or phrase to be translated. Sentences can also be typed into devices for quick translation.
For words or phrases unfamiliar to Cortana, the app will launch a web search to help find the definition. — AFP Relaxnews
