Japan broadcaster NHK is testing 8K resolution for Wimbledon

SUPER HIGH DEFINITION: Wimbledon 2015 will be a test run for NHK.

In collaboration with the All England Lawn Tennis Club, Japan's public broadcaster NHK is testing its "Super Hi-Vision" 8K resolution system. 

During the Wimbledon tournament, two matches a day are to be covered by NHK's "Super Hi-Vision" system, 16 times the resolution of HD, according to The Hollywood Reporter
