Apple reportedly urging music labels to end free streaming deals with Spotify

BLOCKING THE COMPETITION: Apple is readying its own streaming service.

According to The Verge, Apple is trying to reduce competition in the music streaming marketplace ahead of its own entry later this year. 

Numerous sources allege that the company is using its standing within the industry to try to convince major record labels not to renew the deals they have in place with Spotify regarding access to tracks for free users.
