Facebook strips smiles from fake ‘like’ sellers

ON THE WARPATH: Facebook's war on fake 'like' merchants has been so successful that it's putting the spammers out of business.

SAN FRANCISCO: Facebook said that its war against fake likes is paying off so well that many ‘bad actors’ who built businesses on the tactic are closing shop. 

Advances in technology for recognising suspicious patterns of likes has enabled the social network to block such activity by malicious software, fraudulent accounts, and click farm operations that employ armies of low-paid workers.
