Google’s homepage honours legendary US mail service Pony Express

GIDDY UP!: "Why, just send it by Pony Express," they said in the US in the 19th century.

In celebration of the 155th anniversary of the Pony Express, Google's homepage on April 14 features a cartoon game.

The Pony Express – a mail service in which they used actual ponies to deliver the mail – only operated for about 18 months in the US but was never forgotten and has become an icon of American history since its last journey in October of 1861.
