Six cutting-edge London-based designers will be exploring how design and technology could transform the way we travel in years to come at an upcoming exhibition by Mini and Dezeen.
Frontiers-the future of mobility will showcase concepts partly inspired by the spirit of the Mini automobile brand, encompassing science, engineering, filmmaking and performance art.
The show, which will form part of the designjunction section of the London Design Festival this autumn, will see body architect Lucy McRae "vacuum-packing" visitors in an interactive installation. Inspired by artists working with NASA, the piece comprises a series of pods used to prepare people's bodies for "the rigours of a zero-gravity environment".
