There is still no clear indication of when the video sharing platform is planning to launch its Spotify competitor, but when it does, it will offer users access to over 20 million tracks as well as concert footage, remixes and smart recommendations.
According to Android Police, the new service will be called YouTube Music Key and when it goes live, it will be integrated into Google Play Music All Access -- its parent company's existing music downloads and streaming service -- so that subscribers will be able to stream either audio or video, a feature that none of its competitors currently offer.
