ABB, Volvo reveal tie-up on fast-recharge electric buses

GREEN AND CLEAN: Electric buses which can recharge their batteries fast when at bus stops are to be developed by Swiss-Swedish engineering group ABB and Volvo Buses of Sweden, ABB said on Monday.

ZURICH: Electric buses which can recharge their batteries fast when at bus stops are to be developed by Swiss-Swedish engineering group ABB and Volvo Buses of Sweden, ABB said on Monday. 

The technology is targeted at electric buses and at buses with twin electric and conventional engines, which would be able to re-charge automatically at bus stops.
