Security alerts on Monday revealed that a vulnerability called Heartbleed could allow malicious users to gain access to a usernames and passwords and even credit card numbers from a number of sites that use the OpenSSL software.
OpenSSL is widely used by many sites to encrypt and secure sensitive data across the Net, including sites like Yahoo.
