Consumers ready for ultra-high definition television — if the price is right

New research shows that interest in the next generation of televisual technology is growing strongly, and that nearly two thirds of Americans and over half of Europeans are prepared to splash out on a new UHDTV before the end of next year. 

However, according to the results of research firm Strategy Analytics' survey of 6,000 consumers, cost will be as much a deciding factor as superior visual performance.
