According to Reuters quoting a joint statement from Lenovo and Google, Lenovo will pay US$660mil (RM1.98mil) in cash, US$750mil (RM2.25bil) in Lenovo ordinary shares, and another US$1.5bil (RM4.5bil) in the form of a three-year promissory note.
The sale of the Motorola smartphone unit will bring Google’s dreams of being a hardware maker to a premature end after the Google bought the ailing phone maker for US$12.5billion (RM41.73 billion) back in 2012.
