NEW SERVICE: YouTube HD Verified. In order to gain a "YouTube HD Verified" badge, the Internet connection in question has to be able to handle 90% of videos in 720p quality. -

In order to help its 1 billion active users keep calm and carry on, Google has launched something called the Video Quality Report. Essentially a bandwidth tool supported by a very succinct animated explanation of the science of the web and delivering content over it, the Video Quality Report will analyse whether a user's internet connection is good enough for YouTube.

In order to gain a "YouTube HD Verified" badge, the connection in question has to be able to handle 90% of videos in 720p quality.
