Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia Berhad (Carlsberg Malaysia) has a special treat in store for the Malaysian Indian community for the Deepavali celebrations.
It has teamed up with a local movie production house to sponsor the movie Undercover Rascals and also raise funds for underprivileged children from Tamil schools in the country as part of its community initiatives.
Undercover Rascals, is the third locally produced Tamil movie sponsored by Carlsberg Malaysia. The first movie was Aathma and the second movie was Uruvam.
The movie Undercover Rascals is being screened in selected Lotus cinemas from Oct 23.
The movie was directed by Nagaraj, 2010 Raaga Astro Most Popular Director.
The lead actress is Jasmine Michael, who has been awarded 2010 Most Popular Actress by Raaga Astro. The male actors are C. Kumaresan and K.K. Khanna.
In conjunction of the launch of the movie, Carlsberg Malaysia has also organised a Meet the Fans session this Sunday at selected Hypermarkets in the Klang Valley.
Fans of the director and the local artistes will have a chance to meet them at the following participating outlets on Sunday.
·Giant Hypermarket Batu Caves - 11am to 12pm
·Carrefour Mid Valley — 1pm to 2pm
·Giant Hypermarket Bandar Puteri — 7pm to 8pm
·Giant Hypermarket Bukit Tinggi Klang — 9pm to 10pm
Fans will also have the opportunity to get autographs of their favourite artistes and receive autographed movie posters.
They also stand a chance to win DVD copies of the movie by answering a simple question correctly.
As part of Carlsberg Malaysia’s sponsorship promotion of the movie and in conjunction with Deepavali, consumers who buy 2x6 can pack of Carlsberg Special Brew or 2x6 can pack of Skol or 2x6 can pack of Danish Royal Stout from all major hypermarkets nationwide will get 1 Undercover Rascals DVD free.
At all 7-Eleven convenience stores nationwide, consumers who buy eight cans of Skol or six cans of Carlsberg Special Brew will get an Undercover Rascals DVD free.
Every purchase with the DVD during this Deepavali period, while stocks last, a sum of RM3 will be contributed by Carlsberg Malaysia to help underprivileged children of Tamil schools in the country.
Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia Berhad managing director Soren Ravn said: “RM3 from the Deepavali DVD sale promotion will be channelled directly to benefit the Indian community in the country.
