‘Local’ tennis star to play in Malaysian Open

PETALING JAYA: Australian teenage tennis sensation Nick Kyrgios, who knocked out Spanish superstar Rafael Nadal in the fourth round at Wimbledon last month, will be playing in the Malaysian Open at the Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil from Sept 20-28.

Besides playing in the singles main draw, the 19-year-old of mixed Greek and Malaysian parentage will also play in the doubles with a Malaysian player picked by the Lawn Tennis Association of Malaysia (LTAM).
