MELBOURNE (Reuters) - World number one Rafael Nadal took advantage of slightly cooler conditions to cruise into the Australian Open third round with a 6-2 6-4 6-2 win over 17-year-old Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis on Thursday.

Played under a closed roof in Rod Laver Arena, the Spaniard looked strong throughout against his plucky opponent as he set up a clash against France's Gael Monfils or American Jack Sock.
