Syed Agil to face Deedat for place in tennis final

PETALING JAYA: Negri Sembilan player Syed Mohd Agil Syed Naguib edged Syed Mohd Ariffin 6-2, 6-4 to top Group A of the men’s Masters competition and book a place in semi-finals of the BMW Malaysian National Tennis Circuit.

Syed Agil had no problems dispatching Syed Mohd Ariffin to earn his fourth straight win in the group at the Tun Razak Tennis Complex in Jalan Duta  on Friday.

Syed Agil will face Group B runner-up Ahmad Deedat in the semi-final on Saturday.

The second semi-final will be between Mohd Ashaari Zainal, who topped Group B, and Ahmad Deedat.
