New faces to make debut in world swimming championships

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s swimming team for the World Championships in Kazan, Russia, from July 24-Aug 9 will see a changing of the guard with former SEA Games champions Kevin Yeap, Daniel Bego and Christina Loh giving way to up-and-coming juniors. 

Singapore SEA Games gold medallists Welson Sim, Wong Fu Kang and Phee Jinq En are among the five youngsters who will make their debuts in Kazan, which is a qualifying event for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
