GLASGOW: Khoo Cai Lin’s bid to help Malaysia make a splashing end in the swimming competition fell flat in the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
The 26-year-old Cai Lin, the last Malaysian in action, failed to make the cut for the final of the 400m freestyle when she clocked 4:19.47 to finish 17th at the Tollcross Swimming Centre on Tuesday.
Earlier, the men’s 4x100m medley team – comprising Tern Jian Han, ShaunYap Kah Choon, Lim Ching Hwang, Welson Sim Wee Sheng – also came up short when they finished 11th in 3:53.90.
