KANGAR: Selangor’s Chan Jie flew off the blocks to clinch the Perlis Malaysia Games (Sukma) men’s 50m butterfly gold medal in style – with a new meet record of 25.13 – at the State Aquatic Centre in Kangar.

It was the 19-year-old’s first individual gold, having won silver in the 100m freestyle in his Games debut in Pahang two years ago.
