PETALING JAYA: S. Sivasangari entered the World Junior Squash Championships in Eindhoven, Holland, on the back of a poor run of form.
But the unseeded Kedahan stepped up to defy the odds to topple joint ninth-12th seed Lakeesha Rarere of Australia in the third round on Monday. The 16-year-old Sivasangari demonstrated true grit as she staged a late fightback to beat Rarere 14-12, 10-12, 11-9, 7-11, 11-9.
