PETALING JAYA: What could have been a day of joy ended up in disappointment as squash queen Nicol David and qualifier Delia Arnold exited the British Open in contrasting fashions at the Airco Arena in Hull.
England’s Laura Massaro made a stunning comeback from two sets down to eventually beat Nicol 4-11, 9-11, 11-9, 12-10, 11-8 in the semi-finals, thus ending the world No. 1’s hopes of claiming a record sixth British Open title.
