PETALING JAYA: Three-time British Junior Open champion Ng Eain Yow suffered a shocking loss as Malaysia strolled into the boys’ quarter-finals of the CIMB Foundation Asian Junior Team Championships at the National Squash Centre in Bukit Jalil.

Malaysia were already 2-0 up in their opening Pool B match against Japan, thanks to straight-sets wins by Mohd Farez Izwan and Darren Chan. There was no pressure as Malaysia had won the tie. But surprisingly, Eain Yow, who was given the responsibility to start as Malaysia’s No.1, struggled to find his feet and lost 9-11, 11-9, 7-11, 6-11 to Ryunosuke Tsukue.
