Edward (left) and Benjamin Khor both struggled in the individual event of the double trap

GLASGOW: Malaysia’s father-and-son combination of Edward and Benjamin Khor found the going tough in the double trap individual event when they failed to make the final round at Barry Buddon Shooting Range.

Edward came close to making the cut but had to be satisfied with an eighth position with a score of 125 points.

Only the top six advanced to the shootout in the final stage.

Shooting in the rain, Benjamin also struggled in the cold conditions and finished in 13th spot with 113 points.

Four years ago at the New Delhi Games, Edward and Benjamin won a silver in the double trap team event.

On Monday, Malaysia will be in action in the men’s trap and 50m pistol and women’s trap and rifle prone.
