I HAVE to admit, there was plenty of hype before the Tottenham Hotspur game. I was confident, and I am sure that most fans would be somewhat walking with a spring in their step, seeing that we had won six games on the trot, albeit against lower table opposition.

As I got myself comfortable on the sofa during the wee hours of the morning, the lineup was pretty clear; manager David Moyes wanted to go out and attack. Ninety minutes later and the scoreline was not in our favour.
