CAPE TOWN (Reuters) - If South Africa are to lift the William Webb Ellis trophy at the ongoing Rugby World Cup, keeping experienced scrumhalf Fourie du Preez fit will be a key precondition for the Springboks.

The tempo and accuracy of the Springbok game have improved since the veteran of 73 tests was drafted back into the side, probably before he was quite ready, following long-term injury.
