JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South Africa's 17-match winning streak under Nick Mallett in the late 1990s was a magnificent achievement but ended up being something of a burden, according to former Springbok prop Robbie Kempson.

A combative loosehead, Kempson played 37 tests for his country between his debut against Ireland in June 1998 and his final match against Australia just before the 2003 World Cup.
