SEPANG: Perseverance has finally paid off for bodybuilder Syarul Mike Mahen.
Having settled for four silvers and one bronze in previous outings at the Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships since 2009, Syarul returned home with the only gold medal for Malaysia –– in the recently-concluded 49th edition in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
