PETALING JAYA: Ricky Leong Tze Wai starred for Malaysia with a golden performance in the men’s individual kata (non sparring) in the Karate World Premier League in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

After Asian Games gold medallist Lim Chee Wei was shown the exit in the last 16, Tze Wai stepped up to salvage Malaysia’s pride in the discipline by denying Marco Aurelio of glory in front of his home crowd on Saturday.
