LANGKAWI: Armed Forces’ Utarid are one of three Malaysian yachts going all out to prevent Australia’s Oi! from clinching the overall title again when the 13th Royal Langkawi International Regatta (RLIR) gets under way here on Tuesday.

Together with fellow Armed Forces vessel Zuhal and the Royal Malaysian Navy’s Zuhrah, Utarid will start the Racing Class opening race as the underdogs. Oi! are the overwhelming favourites to regain the crown and hand skipper Peter Ahern, the most successful sailor in the RLIR, a fifth Prime Minister’s Challenge Trophy.
