KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s Nurul Atiqah Abu Talib created history by emerging champion in the shooting event of the women’s World Petanque Championships at the Arena Petanque PPWPKL Pudu in Ulu Cheras.
The 19-year-old defeated France’s Audrey Bandiera 37-21 in the final on Sunday. Earlier in the semi-finals, she defeated Thailand’s Phantipha Wongchuvej 27-22.
