KANGAR: Terengganu pair Akmal Idayu Mat Razik and Fatin Ajeerah Wahab smashed the national record in the women’s K2 1000m canoe event to grab the gold medal at the Timah Tasoh Dam near Padang Besar.
Akmal-Fatin clocked 4:34.32 to beat the old mark of 4:37.800 set by Johor in the Penang Sukma in 2000.
