JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South African Olympic and Paralympic track star Oscar Pistorius, on trial for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, tried to intimidate a friend of the former model in court on Tuesday, according to the friend's lawyer.

Pistorius is accused of shooting dead 29-year-old Steenkamp following a heated row in the early hours of Valentine's Day last year. The track star says he killed Steenkamp after mistaking her for an intruder hiding in the toilet.
