A member of the sprint team for the meet in Glasgow from Aug 7-11, the national junior cyclist rode his heart out at the Cheras Velodrome on Friday to win the 1km time trial in 1:09.776.
The 17-year-old Asyraf can certainly be proud of the time he clocked as it was almost a second faster than that achieved by men’s elite winner Mohd Arfy Qhairant Amran (1:10.985).
