PORTO VECCHIO, France (Reuters) - Mark Cavendish will start the Tour de France on Saturday wearing the British champion's jersey but would be happy to trade it for the yellow jersey at the end of the first stage.

"I've worn the leader's jersey in the Giro (d'Italia) and Vuelta a Espana, I'm just missing the yellow jersey," the Manxman told a news conference on Thursday.
