PETALING JAYA: Penang’s Vanessa Raj won the bragging rights over Rachel Arnold after defeating her Bukit Jalil Sports School (BJSS) rival to win the Under-19 title in the second leg of the CIMB National Junior Circuit in Penang yesterday.
Vanessa and Rachel, both 17-year-olds, are the top two juniors in the country and have always been involved in many close encounters. But playing in front of her home crowd at the Nicol David International Squash Centre, Vanessa was ruthless as she strolled to an 11-9, 11-8, 11-6 win.
