Malaysia’s challenge in German Open GP Gold fizzles out

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s challenge in the German Open GP Gold came to an end after Goh Liu Ying-Lim Yin Loo were given a thumping by top seeds Misaki Matsutomo-Ayaka Takahashi in the women’s doubles quarter-finals in Mulheim on Friday.

The difference in standard was evident as the world No. 26 Liu Ying-Yin Loo struggled to cope with the Japanese world No. 4, going down 11-21, 5-21 in just 30 minutes.
