PETALING JAYA: Malaysian Moto2 rider Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah capped a fine weekend by finishing eighth in the Grand Prix of Japan at the Motegi circuit.
Despite suffering from flu, the Petronas Raceline Malaysia rider progressed from 17th on the grid to clock 43:07.728, 17.509 seconds behind winner Thomas Luthi of Switzerland in the 23-lap race.
