Norizman Ismail ends Mohd Zaqhwan Zaidi's winning streak in Johor


PETALING JAYA: Two-time champion Norizman Ismail ended Mohd Zaqhwan Zaidi’s winning streak in the CP130 class of the Petronas AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championships at the Kluang Stadium in Johor on Sunday.

The Harian Metro Y-TEQ SCK Honda Racing rider led the 18-lap Round Six race from start to finish while Zaqhwan crashed out of the wet race in the eighth lap. 

Team-mate Mohd Zamri Baba sneaked into second place and started a duel for the lead but Norizman proved he was much quicker in the wet, finishing in 14:56.458.

Zamri settled in second spot with 14:57.576 while Mohd Adib Rosley of Motul Yamaha YY Pang finished third in 15:00.359.

“We had an amazing race. Not only did we win, we bagged a 1-2 finish,” said a delighted Norizman.
