PETALING JAYA: Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah endured a frustrating time in the opening practice session in Moto2 at the Catalan Grand Prix.
The Petronas Raceline Malaysia rider could only manage the 28th fastest time after clocking 1:49.550 at the Catalunya Circuit yesterday.
Hafizh’s was 2.455 seconds adrift of Spaniard Esteve Rabat, who clocked the fastest time of 1:47.095.
“I had some problems with the soft front end this morning,” lamented 20-year-old Hafizh.
“Although I pitted twice and requested the engineers to make changes, it was still too soft to navigate through the high speed turns.
