SCK Honda riders make clean sweep in Kluang

PETALING JAYA: Harian Metro Y-TEQ SCK Honda Racing team made a clean sweep of the CP130 race after Mohd Fitri Ashraf Razali, Norizman Ismail and Elly Idzlianizar Ilias occupied the top three spots in the Petronas AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship in Kluang on Sunday.

Fitri secured his maiden CP130 win by clocking 14:17.368 after taking the lead from front row starters Mohd Affendi, Mohd Ramdan Rosli (Petronas Syntium Moto Yamaha AHM) and Mohd Zaqhwan Zaidi (Givi Honda Yuzy Pachie), who crashed out of the race.

Norizman finished 2.103 seconds behind Fitri in 14:19.471 while Elly, who just joined the team, was third in 14:19.789.

Fitri, whose machine touched Zaqhwan’s during an overtaking manoeuvre that led to the latter crashing, was quick to apologise for the mishap.

Although Fitri won the race, it was Norizman who gained the most after collecting 20 points to top the CP130 standings with 82 points.

He now has a one-point advantage over second-placed Ahmad Fuad Baharudin (Faito Yamaha Motobert) while former leader Ramdan drops to third on 75 points.
