THE Malaysian women’s hockey team presented their skipper Nadia Abdul Rahman a perfect birthday gift by thrashing closest rivals Singapore 8-1 at the Thein Phyu Hockey Stadium in Yangon on Monday.
It was fitting that Nadia, who turned 28 yesterday, opened the scoring after just three minutes into the match played under sweltering mid-day heat.
