YANGON: The Malaysian women’s hockey team turned on the power to crush Cambodia 36-0 for their second win in as many days at the Thein Phyu Stadium in Yangon on Saturday, in what proved to be a new world hockey record.

The previous world record for the highest score in an international match was held by Argentina after they defeated Peru 26-0 at the South American Women’s Championships in Santiago, Chile, on March 23, 2003, according to planetfieldhockey.com.
