KL boys aiming for seventh hockey title

Filepic shows the KL Under-14 hockey team which beat Terengganu 6-2 in the MHC-Milo final in 2011. They hope to maintain their dominance when this year's edition begins in Kuala Terengganu on Monday.

KUALA LUMPUR: Defending champions Kuala Lumpur aim to extend their hold on the MHC-Milo Under-14 boys’ hockey title for a seventh year when the tournament gets under way in Kuala Terengganu on Monday.

The KL team have been champions from 2007-2012. Perak were the inaugural winners in 2005 and also in 2006. But with the east coast sides like Terengganu, Kelantan and Pahang making inroads in age-group tournaments, KL are not taking things for granted.
