MGF: We don’t have enough male gymnasts

Filepic shows national artistic gymnast Tracie Ang in action in 2011. While the country has enough girls to make up the women's national team, there are only two male gymnasts in the national set-up.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Gymnastics Federation (MGF) have been left in a bit of a pickle ahead of the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games next year as they don’t have the numbers to compete in the men’s artistic gymnastics team event.

To be eligible to compete in the men’s artistic team competition at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow from July 23-Aug 3, Malaysia will need to put forth a five-man team with all the gymnasts above 18.
