SEA Games gold medallist earns his pro spurs after Manila win


PETALING JAYA: Natipong Srithong claimed a thrilling one-shot victory at the US$1mil (RM4.3mil) Resorts World Manila Masters to become the second Thai rookie to win in successive weeks on the Asian Tour.

The 22-year-old, who turned professional in September after winning the individual and team gold medals at the Singapore SEA Games, overcame a four-shot deficit in the final round with a sizzling five-under 67 for a 15-under 273 at the Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club.
